David Farrell

Operating Partner, Data Scientist

David Farrell has over 30 years of technical development experience in the healthcare industry. He started his career with Advantage Medical, developing real-time data acquisition software. Advantage had a successful exit to Neuroscan. After several years with Neuroscan, Mr. Farrell then joined Impulse Monitoring as a Systems Analyst during its early stage. He was challenged with automating business processes and integrating commercial billing, credentialing and accounting systems. In this capacity, Mr. Farrell was instrumental in developing an in-house EMR system, data warehouse, scheduling software and extensive reporting system. Mr. Farrell’s efforts supported the company’s accelerated growth as it grew to the largest intraoperative monitoring company in the nation, with patented workflows and systems. Impulse had a successful exit to NuVasive. After several years with NuVasive, Mr. Farrell served as a Database Architect with National Spine and Pain, one of the largest pain management practices in the nation. In this capacity Mr. Farrell was responsible for developing a common reporting platform which integrated data from multiple practice management systems, combined with other key business processes (PBX, CRM, Insurance Eligibility, Payroll, Accounting). Mr. Farrell served within the diligence and implementation teams multiple acquisitions during his various tenures.  He also has worked with numerous electronic medical record software systems in the healthcare industry. Mr. Farrell received a BS in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario.
