Janet Widmann has more than 25 years of senior executive and board experience in health care services, medical aesthetics, retail multi-site and technology-enabled companies. She has a proven track record of developing and leading small cap and multi-billion-dollar P&L at venture-backed, for-profit and not-for-profit companies.
As President and CEO, Ms. Widmann led the turnaround and transaction of the largest private pay multi-specialty dental health system exclusively for children, and the turnaround of a national autism platform. She served for nearly a decade at Blue Shield of California as Executive Vice President, where she had sole P&L responsibility for the company’s $15 billion in annual revenue and 3.5 million members. Previously, she served as Health Net’s Chief Operations Officer for the company’s dental and vision subsidiaries.
Ms. Widmann is a member of the Board of Directors for Avista Corporation (NYSE: AVA), a utilities company spanning the Pacific Northwest, and an advisor to Vida Health, a digital health care company. She has served on numerous private and public companies including Versant Health, Cutera, Delta Dental of California, and as a Governor’s Appointee to the California Health Professions Education Foundation Board of Trustees.
Consistently named one of the Bay Area’s Most Influential Women in Business, Ms. Widmann has been a member of McKinsey & Company’s Bay Area Women’s Executive Roundtable, International Women’s Forum, and The Committee of 200.
Ms. Widmann earned an MHA at the University of Southern California, and a BS in Health Administration at California State University, Northridge. She lives with her husband, daughter and two dogs in the Bay Area.
