Jay McKnight

Operating Partner

Jay McKnight joined Varsity Healthcare Partners as an Operating Partner after serving in executive leadership positions in multiple healthcare services companies. Mr. McKnight most recently served as President and CEO of Diversicare Healthcare Services, where he led the successful sale of the publicly traded company and following go-private transaction. Mr. McKnight joined Diversicare as EVP and CFO in 2012, and became President and CEO in 2018. Prior to his tenure with Diversicare, he was the CFO of NuscriptRX, an institutional pharmacy company, and Vice President and Corporate Controller of publicly traded I-trax / CHD Meridian Healthcare, which was successfully sold to Walgreens. Mr. McKnight has significant experience in healthcare services mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, strategic planning, and financial operations.

Mr. McKnight began his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen working in its New Orleans, Silicon Valley, and Nashville offices. He continued in public accounting by joining Ernst & Young with its acquisition of the Nashville Arthur Andersen office. He is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a BS in Accounting.

Mr. McKnight serves on the Board of Directors for Gastro Care Partners, Peak Dental and Beghou Consulting.
